Once a scenario is created, you can modify most data and settings contained within the scenario, to assess the impacts to the line of particular changes to the tasks, orders, etc.
This section explain which types of data you can and can't edit once a scenario is created. For detailed explanation of each piece of data and its effect on a scenario, please see Create a New Scenario in the Scenario Files section.
Edit Scenario Details
By going to Edit>Edit Scenario Details, you can edit the Notes, Target Date, and Line Type of a scenario. If you wish to edit the Scenario ID, see Scenario Manager in the Scenario Files section. If you need to change other properties in the Scenario Details window, you will need to create a new scenario.
Edit Scenario Details
Edit Routing & Model Details
By going to Edit>Edit Routing & Model Details, you can edit the models, model percentages, and model-option percentages that are considered within any mixed model scenario. As models do not apply to single model scenarios, there is no data to edit in this window for such scenarios.
In mixed model balances that are not schedule driven (see Scenario Details), you will see a Refresh button. This can be used to specifically refresh the list of models and options present in a scenario. If any models are added or completely deleted from the activity mapping in the given routing, the Model list in this screen will be updated accordingly. It also refreshes any options that might have been added or deleted to a specific model's Option List in the Model Editor. This refresh can also update any options added or deleted at the routing or activity level.
Edit Routing and Model Details
Edit Task Details
By going to Edit>Edit Task Details, you can change the time unit used in the scenario, and can edit the tasks that are included in the scenario. You can also review certain task details, and can also see the Original Station and Original Operator to which the task was assigned when the scenario was created.
This is also where you can Include or Exclude activities from the balance. If you exclude a task, it will be automatically removed from the station to which it was assigned. If later you decide to include that task again, one of two things will happen:
•If the last place the task existed when it was included was a station/operation combination, you will be prompted whether you want to add the task to the Previous Station/Operator, or whether you want to move the task to the Unassigned List.
•If the last place the task existed when it was included was the Unassigned List, the task will automatically be moved back to the Unassigned List.

Edit Station Details
By going to Edit>Edit Station Details, you can change the stations, the station work zones, the station operator counts, and the station setup times and descriptions considered within the scenario.
You can exclude stations in this screen. This will exclude the station from the balance, and you will also be prompted to also exclude the activities currently assigned to that station, or to keep them included (in which case those activities will be moved to the Unassigned List).
You can right click on the spreadsheet to Customize View.

Edit Operator Details
By going to Edit>Edit Operator Details, you can change the operator IDs, the operator work zones, and the shared operator IDs used in the scenario.
To create or edit shared operators, enter the ID of an operator in all stations in which that operator will work. When any of the algorithms run, they will make sure the total amount assigned to that shared operator ID does not exceed TAKT time.

Edit Monumental Resources
By going to Edit>Edit Monumental Resources, you can change which resources should be considered to be monuments. For a full explanation of how to set up monumental resources, see Monumental Resources in the Line Balancing Constraints section.
Monumental Resources
Edit Order Details
By going to Edit>Edit Order Details, you can change the orders considered in the scenario. You can fetch new orders from the database, load new orders in from an Excel file, and exclude existing orders.
When you click OK on the Edit Order Details window, whether you've made changes or not, the Refresh Scenario Data routine will be run automatically.
*Note: This menu will only be enabled if you select Mixed Model when you created the scenario.

Edit Task Grouping
By going to Edit>Edit Task Grouping, you can add, remove, or edit Task Groups. For a full explanation of how to set up task groups, see Task Groups in the Line Balancing Constraints section.

Edit TAKT Time
By going to Edit>TAKT Time, you can change the red TAKT time line. Note that changing the TAKT value in this screen will not rebalance the line, but simply move the red line. For information on rebalancing the line, please see the Balancing Tasks section.
Edit TAKT Time
Edit Labor Utilization
By going to Edit>Labor Utilization, you can change the orange Labor Utilization line. Note that changing this value value in this screen will not rebalance the line, but simply move the orange line. For information on rebalancing the line, please see the Balancing Tasks section.

Refresh Scenario Data
By going to Edit>Refresh Scenario Data, you can update the scenario with changes made to the routing since the scenario was created.
The following window will appear, allowing you to decide if and/or how some Routing changes are updated.
Refresh Scenario Data
Preview Task-Station-Operator Assignment Changes: If this box is checked, a warning message will display any changes and will prompt you to approve or cancel the update.
•Maintain task assignments in the line balance: Any Activities added to the Routing or moved from one Operation to another Operation within the Routing will appear in the Unassigned List after the refresh.
•Replace all task assignments in the scenario with those in the routing: Any Activity mapping changes made in the Routing will overwrite the current scenario task mapping.
•Merge routing task assignments with those in the balance: Any Activities added to the Routing will be added to the scenario, maintaining their station and operator mapping. However, Activities already included in the scenario will maintain the scenario’s current task mapping.
Replace groups and task-group assignments with those in the routing: If this box is checked, the scenario’s task grouping will be cleared and replaced with the Activity grouping within the Routing.
Refresh ergonomics data: If this is checked, the ergonomics data for the tasks will update to the data in the Activities.
The following types of routing changes will be updated automatically when you Refresh Scenario Data:
•Editing an activity's time(s) and/or description
•Editing the precedence network
•Editing activity-resource mapping
•Editing inspection groups
•Editing activity work zones
•Editing station-resource mapping (in the Plant Editor)
The following types of changes to a routing will not be updated when you Refresh Scenario Data:
•Editing the Work Center field for an operation
•Editing the Operator ID field for an activity
•Adding an operation to a routing
