Worst Case Work Time

When reviewing the Line Balance Chart by Worst Case Work Time, the maximum work content for each model includes all options (across different Option Groups) that could be present for that model.  If an option is part of an Option Group, the total time of all activities associated to each option within that Option Group will be reviewed and the highest total time will be used.

Below is a list of several varying cases:

Case#1-Avg Work Time:

The average of the 2 activities = (0.07 + 0.05) / 2 = 0.06.

Case#2-Worst Case Work Time for 2 Activities in the same Option Group

All activities associated to the Low_Line|Rear_Armrest option are summed to get 0.05.  All activities associated to the RSE|Rear_Armrest option are summed to get 0.07.  All activities associated to the Standard|Rear_Armrest option are summed to get 0.07.  All these options are in the same Option Group, so the highest total time, which is the 0.07, is displayed.

Case#3-Worst Case Work Time for activities belonging to multiple Option Groups:

All activities associated to the Low_Line|Rear_Armrest option are summed to get 0.05. All activities associated to the RSE|Rear_Armrest option are summed to get 0.07. All activities associated to the Standard|Rear_Armrest option are summed to get 0.07. These options are in the same Option Group, so the highest total time, which is the 0.07, is used to calculate the total time. Then the activity time for the TS|Rear_Frame option, which belongs to a different Option Group is summed with the 0.07 for a total time of 0.10:
