Video File Formats

Assembly Planner can support any video file formats supported by your version of Windows Media Player and any additional codec packs (such as K-Lite) installed on your computer. If you do not currently have a version of Windows Media Player on your system, you can download it at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-media-player.

We recommend using .mp4 (MPEG-4) files when performing video observed time studies. We also recommend not using high definition videos, since the videos are converted within Assembly Planner and the higher definition will be lost in the process. Note: A few video file formats may not allow you to alter the playback speed (speed up/slow down), although they may playback at normal speed without issue.
