-There are also special characters that should be avoided while using Assembly Planner.  

Assembly Planner's data is housed within a SQL Server database, which reserves special characters for certain functions. When creating IDs in Assembly Planner, you should avoid the following characters:

 

, (Comma)
= (Equal To sign)
(Single quotation mark)
(Double quotation mark)
( (Opening parenthesis)
) (Closing parenthesis)
[ (Opening square bracket)
] (Closing square bracket)
% (Percent character)
! (Exclamation character)
|(Pipe)
&(Ampersand)

 

 

When creating custom fields, you should avoid the following characters:

, (Comma)
= (Equal To sign)
(Single quotation mark)
(Double quotation mark)
( (Opening parenthesis)
) (Closing parenthesis)
[ (Opening square bracket)
] (Closing square bracket)
% (Percent character)
! (Exclamation character)
     (single space)
(tab character)
- (Hyphen)
+(plus sign)
*(asterisk)
/(forward slash)
\(back slash)
<(less than sign)
>(greater than sign)
`(back quote)
